Ozgur IrezFantastic man and sorry, ladies taken! The first time I came to Istanbul I sensed he must be around. But finding him took some time.

I first visited his mom’s place on the hilltop and stayed for a month to learn Turkish cooking. Özgür, living in Istanbul back then, came over with his friends for dinner one day. We met and went ahead with our own lives.

A year later I heard he came to help his parents with the renovation and included a room for himself into the project. I then visited to say hi and after a second look at each other we needed no more time to decide.

It is his love, understanding, care and admiration that keep me going through my good and bad days in Turkey. I write a lot about him on my blog.

And by the way.. if you are planning an company event or getaway in Turkey Özgür is your man. For the past 15 years he has been closing Grand Bazaar in Istanbul for the dinners of 500+ people, turned uninhabited islands in the Mediterranean sea into a beach club for 300+ people and took the teams of his Turkish clients all over the world. “Welcome to Özgürland,” - says its long-time client and a good friend David everytime he comes to Turkey: Özgür really takes away any organization-related headaches and does impossible most of the time. Contact him for details via this email.
